The Dig

I’ve got another review and giveaway for you!

This time I’m giving away an ebook called “The Dig”.  This book is a part of a series and is a Bible study resource to help children walk through God’s Word.

As I reviewed this ebook I was impressed by the way the author, Patrick Schwenk (you may know his wife Ruth of The Better Mom), creatively articulates deep truths and doctrines in a way that is easy for young children.

In “The Dig” you will find 34 short lessons from the Gospel of Luke.  Each lesson points you to a scripture passage and then provides you with a kid friendly explanation of the verses you just read, along with a few discussion evoking questions.

This ebook devotional is doctrinally sound, Gospel centered and is an excellent resource for teaching children in a fun and memorable way!

While some of you may have families and children probably a lot of you are like me, serving the Lord during our time of singleness.

Why would I be recommending this ebook to predominately single women?

It occrued to me when I first heard about “The Dig” that this isn’t a book just for parents.  This would be a wonderful mentoring tool for those who teach children in Sunday school or for those who want to hold Bible clubs as a witnessing opportunity in their neighborhood or city.  It would also be a great idea to use this Bible study as a fun, learning activity for the children you Nanny or babysit for!

As a single woman you can really be used to have a big impact on the lives of young children.  I would encourage you to consider using “The Dig” for this purpose!

Spring is here and I’d like to make a friendly modesty reminder.

Even though the weather is getting warmer let’s all make an effort to respect ourselves and our brothers in Christ by dressing modestly.

Your body is a beautiful thing made by our Creative God.  It’s nothing to be ashamed of but it is something precious that should be protected and saved.

Our highest call as Christians is to love God and Love others.  Let’s strive to do that by being careful to dress modestly.

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”  -Matthew 22

FREE Printable Gospel Cards {for your purse}

I’ve got another FREE printable for you this week!

You never know when the Lord may give you an opportunity to share the Gospel and if you are like me your purse is just too small to carry a Bible with all of your favorite underlined salvation verses in it.  I’ve made some special printable cards with 10 of of my favorite Bible verses pointing to the Gospel.  Simply print them out on card stock paper, cut them out, put a small rubber band around them a toss them into your purse or wallet.

If the Lord gives you an unexpected opportunity you can easily pull out the card and have several verses to share about Jesus, our sin, the cross, God’s gracious gift and how to accept it.  I’ve also included some verses to help a person determine if they are truly in Christ as well!

Feel free to print out as many as you would like.  I hope these are helpful to you as you shine the light of the Gospel into this dark world!

2 FREE Printables “25 Ways To Pray For Your Future Husband”

I’ve got a FREE gift for all Stay-At-Home Daughter readers…. just because I love you guys!

Last week I created a list to help us pray for our husbands and future husbands.  The list has 25 prayer ideas along with correlating Bible verses.  You can find the list here and here.

Today I’ve created TWO printable versons of the “25 Ways to Pray for Your Future Husband” list just for you!

This first one is a simple, poster-type printable that you can put on your Refrigerator, bathroom mirror, keep in your journal, Bible cover or frame it and hang it up anywhere you will see it often.

The second printable takes the list of prayers and Bible verses and puts each one on an individual card.  These would be really nice if you printed them out on nice card stock paper so you can flip through them easily without bending them.  You could keep these in your purse, in your car, you could tape them in different locations in your house…. lots of possibilities!

“How My Savior Leads Me” Book Giveaway!!!

I am really excited about today’s giveaway by author Terri Stellrecht!  The book is called “How My Savior Leads Me”.

This is a touching, true story of Terri’s journey through loosing her 12 year old son and how she found peace in the mist of great trial.  You can read the passion and pain and feel the great joy as God uses a tragic accident for His amazing purposes.

I found this quality, faith strengthening book to be a wonderful encouragement and an incredible testimony of God’s good leading.

I give this book a high recommendation!

“How My Savior Leads Me” would be a wonderful gift to a family who has suffered loss, Christian or not because the Gospel is very clearly portrayed in these pages.  I honestly can say I have never read a book that defines the doctrine of salvation as clearly as is laid out in this book.
