It’s peach season and our family went to a nice local orchard and bought a whole bunch of delicious peaches. My mom just made a new recipe called “Spiced Peach Carrot Bread”. It’s so good that I had to share it with you!
What you’ll need:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups peeled and chopped fresh, ripe peaches
- 3/4 cup freshly grated carrots
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1.) Preheat oven to 350°.
2.) Mix together flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, salt and nutmeg together in large bowl.
3.) Next add the peaches, carrots, oil, milk and eggs. Stir until all of the dry ingredient mixture is just moistened.
4.) Pour into a greased 9×5” loaf pan.
5.) Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 5 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes. You can check to make sure it’s ready by inserting a toothpick in the center to see if it comes out clean.
6.) Cool for about 5 minutes before removing from pan and allowing the bread to cool completely for an hour.
This is such a good recipe where you can use your sweet summer peaches! I hope you enjoy!
