Sister, what are you waiting for?
We are all waiting for something.
What is that deep longing in your heart, the thing you have prayed for, for so long?
Do you feel the silence of the wait and wonder if He’s forgotten you?
Are you discouraged wondering if it’s too late now, ready to give up hope?
Do you feel frustrated when others need not wait as long as you?
My Waiting Friend, know this:
The same God who loved you enough to die for your sins, still loves you and still intends good for you.
The all-wise, Creator of the Universe knows your intimate needs. He did not bring you this far to let you go now. He is the definition of wisdom. He can do no wrong. He is never too late. His timing is always perfect.
Not only does this God continually want good for you, not only does His perfect mind know what is best but He holds all power in His hands. The God who raised the dead is the same God we make our humble requests to!
Be assured dear friend, if you are a true child of God, your Father WANTS to do good for you, He KNOWS what is good for you and He has the COMPLETE power to do what is good for you.
“Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” -Matthew 7 {NASB}
“Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light And your judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.” -Psalms 37 {NASB}

Like so many others, I’m waiting for a godly man. And I thank the Lord that recently I have been able to trust him as never before in this area and could say in my heart, “Amen!” when I read your words.

I just finished outlining a lesson and writing a devo about Caleb. He envisioned his home in Hebron and had to wait 40+ years for it. But he patiently endured, helped his brothers establish their territories, and finally received his own blessing.
I’m not sure what I’m waiting for, but I’d love prayer for my family. Two kids in college, trying to find their way with careers and relationships and ministry. Maybe I’m waiting to see what God has in store for us!
Thank you for praying for us today. I pray for my commenters every Monday, and it’s a great blessing to lift up my spiritual siblings
